What kind of images come to mind when you read that word?
Did you have a sandbox when you were young?
If you have children, perhaps you had one in the yard when they were young.
My husband built a sandbox into the landscaping at our first home for the kids. We couldn’t take it with us, though, so when we moved, we bought a green Little Tikes turtle sandbox where the cover is the turtle shell. It wasn’t quite as extravagant as the previous one, but it still allowed for some sand play.
Sand is such a fun and creative element for play, whether it is contained by a box built for that specific purpose or at the beach.
There is something fascinating about the way it pours nicely from container to container.
It feels good on your skin when you dig your feet deep into it.
And mixed with a little water there are limitless creations to be made, especially at the beach. Have you experienced some of the incredible sand art that happens along the shore?
Beach accessibility would be wonderful if we could have it, but it isn’t possible for everyone.
Let’s just say we could all have a sandbox, though.
What would yours look like?
How much sand does yours have?
Play with me here. Let’s go one step farther.
How much sand do you act like you have?
Do you have an inch of sand or a foot of sand?
By now, you may be either going with the flow and letting your mind do some creative thinking or you are getting frustrated, wondering what in the world I am talking about!!!
Okay, here’s my point.
Most of us live like we only have an inch of sand.
After a little bit of digging, shifting the sand, borrowing from one container to pour it in another, we easily come to the bottom of the box and believe that is all we have and we give up trying to do anything more.
I believe that in actuality we all have a foot of sand that we can dig our feet deep into and we can add water, use some creative tools and mold it into a castle or whatever else we dream up.
Our lives are much more than an inch deep.
We have an an abundance from which to work, learn, grow, discover and create!
Time really is running thin and Your One Beautiful Life is waiting.
Now is the time to lay aside thoughts of scarcity, of not enough, of “never have” and live in the abundance of Your One Beautiful Life!
Tell me about the sand in your sandbox. Do you have enough to build your dream?
